Frequently asked questions.

General Questions

  • Raspberry Tapestry is where travel, history, and the small joys of everyday life are woven into patterns. I design fabrics and wallpapers filled with rich color, layered texture, and timeless story.

My hope is that these designs bring beauty and warmth into your home and life.

  • Red has always been my favorite color, and raspberries—my favorite fruit—are grown right on our farm. Tapestry reflects my love for fabric, history, and the deep richness of woven art. Together, the words paint a picture of what I value: color, story, and tradition woven into beauty.

  • I create surface patterns inspired by travel, historical textiles, and everyday treasures. My work ranges from modern abstracts to richly layered motifs. I also love reimagining classics—like stripes, polka dots, or ginger jars—with a fresh perspective in color and texture.

  • Travel, heritage crafts, small treasures I collect (like hearts and heirlooms), and the colors of everyday life. I also find constant inspiration in God’s creation—it reminds me that design is a way to reflect His beauty.

  • Some come directly from what I see in the world—tiles in Morocco, a woven band from Norway, or a single autumn leaf. Other times I pull colors from memory, faith, or the atmosphere of a place. My palettes are always meant to feel rich, textural, and lived-in.

  • Sometimes! I enjoy seeing what colors or motifs are popular and will explore them if they connect with my heart. For me, trends are not rules but sparks of inspiration—one more way to create something fresh and joyful.

  • Every design I create carries a story. Some are shaped by world travel, others by family treasures or historical crafts. My work is also grounded in faith—I see design as a gift from God, meant to bring richness, warmth, and loveliness to everyday spaces.

Faith & Values

  • My relationship with the Lord shapes everything I do, including Raspberry Tapestry. Creativity is a gift from Him, and my goal is to design with honesty, integrity, and joy. I pray my work brings warmth and beauty into homes, while pointing to the One who is the source of all beauty.

  • Because joy is central to both my life and my art! I believe joy comes from the Lord, not just from circumstances. It shows up in the colors, textures, and patterns I create—and in the small, everyday treasures I hold close.

Thanks for stopping by! If you still have questions or just want to chat about design ideas, my contact page is always open. I’d love to hear from you.
